£800k??

:hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious:

I swear I read somewhere that Lockett wanted £400k upfront. He says himself in the article he doesn't think he is worth £1m anyway.

God we really do have some muppets in charge of the clubs transfer dealings if they thought he was worth £1m or even anywhere near that.

The quote talks about 'Three year deal', so maybe the £800k is the total value of the deal with the inclusion of Mohsni's wages? £150k + £4,200*156 (weeks) = £805,200

bit low for a prem player, but more than he was on here no doubt!

If Nick Powell is worth £4m then yes, I'd say Bilel is worth at least a quarter of that.

I love threads which go haring off in the wrong direction and resolutely refuse to turn around.

The long-haired centre-back/target man, who signed for Town on a three-month loan deal last week, said: “I went to West Ham in the summer. They wanted me but the (Southend) chairman refused the bid.“I think (Southend) wanted £800,000 with bonuses for a three-year deal. It could have been a million pounds which was very expensive. I understand I am not a million in value, so it didn’t happen.”

There is no way RM would have turned down 800k, Bilel is dreaming!

Read the article properly. RM did not turn down £800k. He turned down £150k (that I believe is what West Ham offered) as he wanted £800k

We all thought that £150k wasn't enough, but to ask for £800k is just bonkers. Somewhere in the middle about £250-£300k is about right, which I bet is what has now been agreed with Ipswich.

As west ham didn't even offer the 150k that has been thrown around I think the above story(s) are all utter bollocks.
