Well although I still think he could do it here, maybe selling him on could do both parties some good.
I'm thinking though, that if Paynter leaves surely Eastwood will stay, as Eastwood was (personally) the main reason that Paynter didnt do well, as Paynter plays Eastwood's position.

I have to say, having watched him play in the reserves recently, that he is definitely not the answer to our problems.

He's been out for months now and being someone valued at £250,000 I find it difficult to believe that he hasn't been able to either get fit enough or show the ability that warranted that kind of outlay.
Even Lawson has managed to get onto the bench before him for crying out loud.
If we can recoup the money shelled out for the guy I see no reason to keep him here. He clearly isn't going to get into the squad any time soon.

When did Lawson get on the bench ahead of him?
He's been out for a couple of months. He'll obviously need a few games under his belt to get his match fitness up, let alone get his confidence up.
