Good to see Billy Best as the half-time guest at last weeks game. Surprised that no-one else had commented on him. I was a little too young to remember him but my dad used to go to see us in the late 60's and he still raves on about him as a natural goalscorer and one of the best players he ever saw at the Hall. His goal record was basically 1 every 2 games - a true Legend I feel.

One of my all time 'Blues' heroes, hence my pen name. I was there against Kings Lynn when he and Gary Moore both grabbed a hat - trick each, and also against Brentwood Town in the 2nd round when he scored 5 and Gary Moore got 4. If memory serves me correct he also got 1 in the 3rd round away to Swindon, i was there too, which we won 2-0. Seem to recall he played in a vets match in 1981 before Alan Moody's testimonial against Wolves and at that time his weight had somewhat balooned since his playing days. What would we give for another like him now.
