I’d like to suggest moving the blue badge parking closer to stadium, with the state of the car park surface it’s incredibly difficult to push a wheelchair to and from the east stand disabled entrance.

Where exactly are you suggesting? As far as I am aware, blue badge parking is at the flattest, most stable part of the car park.

Unfortunately it’s not, it is along the far fence at the north end of the car park, which is riddled with pot holes and a slope. I nearly had a nasty accident at the last match when I hit a pot hole with the wheelchair, it was very lucky that my friend didn’t fall out or the chair tip over. I was thinking more towards the west of the car park, maybe moving the corporate parking to the first line of the main car park and have the spaces near the fence as blue badge parking. If that is possible, also I have been when all the blue badge spaces are full and have had to park at the back end of the car park, which has a very steep slope. Hope my description is understandable. And thank you for the reply.
Well, I am amazed, I always thought blue badge parking was in the bays at the bottom of the car park backing onto the wall, though I guess we have more users than there are bays for. Will certainly take this up.

Blue Badge Parking has been allocated at the bottom of the Car Park, which is the flattest and safest part of the car park. We only allocate a certain number of spaces at the start of the season (of which we have not exceeded) so will liaise with the stewarding team to make sure these are being used by blue badge holders.

Would they like to meet me on match day, and I’ll show them how ‘flat and safe’ it is? Also if it has not been exceeded then something is very wrong as several times it has been full! There are also 3 vans/Lorry’s that haven’t moved in god knows how long, they are taking up places too.
The best place is where the reserved/corporate parking is as this part has been resurfaced and is free from potholes, but I suppose their ‘guests’ are more important to them than season ticket holders. Thank you for trying, not your fault the club won’t listen.

With respect, I don't think they're going to give up the "best" parking spaces in the car park to blue badge holders, but I thought we had agreed that the bottom of the car park was ok, it was the "overflow" area where there was a problem? There certainly shouldn't be vans and lorries parked there permanently.

There are many potholes between the blue badge parking and the disabled entrance, it’s very hard to negotiate around them. Those vans/Lorries have been parked there for the whole time this season. There are to the right of the blue badge parking as you look at it.
I appreciate your help, but I think it’s clear nothing will be done, if the club aren’t willing to pass at least half the ‘best’ parking spaces to their fans that really need it, then shame on them. Thank you again for trying however I see things won’t change.

Can @OldBlueLady please give me an email address of someone who is going to actually assist and listen to me regarding the parking situation on match days not just for blue badge holders but for everyone that has paid good money to park.
This situation is getting so bad, I am becoming so stressed with each match that I am now considering giving up going, I just can’t stand the stress of this any longer.
All this is so badly thought out, just so a few fans can sit in the north bank is absolutely ridiculous.
Why didn’t the powers that be wait until the closed season to implement sensible changes for this to happen?
I have sent numerous emails to feedback and Rylee, but I am getting nowhere.
I’m writing this in tears, this has become an absolute nightmare.

I totally agree. I was told today that the new walk through around the car park (fiasco) for away fans has taken away over 50 car parking places,mostly those that were used for the disabled. The NB needs to be shut this season and a new plan set up if the club wish to continue with it. A simple answer would of been to have a dividing gate built behind the NB to seperate fans.

I presume this is due to that stupid barrier system that was in operation today?
Perhaps the club should come out and hold their hands up and admit they need to reduce the number who park at the club.
If that means informing those that got a parking space in the car park in the last couple of years and saying we're not able to renew you next year as we need to reduce the amount of cars etc But those would go to the front of the waiting list etc
Could the club not do a deal with the council and utilise some spaces within the civic car park and run a small shuttle bus to and from the ground.

As I have a blue badge holder with me I couldn’t park in the civic car park it’s to far away, I also don’t see why they should turn people away that are willing to pay for parking, this is an income for the club. They just need a complete rethink on how to work it without the impact that it is having. They should have waited and done it properly.

There's a lot of space in the car park for even greater income than a £100 / £150 per car per year. Could quite easily sell a large chunk of the car park for housing / flats. Very surprised Ron never did it. Guess he was aiming for the golden goose of building on the lot rather than picking some low hanging fruit by building on part of the car park.
We are quite blessed that our ground has quite a lot of car parking space at the ground. I'm sure there are grounds with no car parking facilities for fans at all. Maidenhead and Forest Green spring to mind.
Just checked Forest Green and they charge £225 per season to park the car at a nearby school (or £15 a match)

Why do we need all that fencing up? It's a mess, you don't see that anywhere else we go.

Your issue has already been escalated to the safety officer. I've told you before that it is something I am going to pursue further as the situation is not practical for people with blue badges. I know some spaces have been made available closer to the ground (where the match officials used to park) but the rest are now at the top of the car park.
I don't know why they can't make some blue badge parking behind the North Bank if they are going to force the away fans out the way they are at the moment.
We have a Trust Liaison Meeting this week and I certainly intend to bring this matter up then.
As I understand it this is not really FAB's area, it's Fan Engagement, which I am part of. My understanding is that this is on the direction of the police and to do with the North Bank being open. My personal feeling is that if this is the cost of the North Bank being open, then the Club needs to think again as all this new system does is clearly mark out away fans across the whole car park as potential targets and to affect the blue badge holders who park as well as reduce the number of available parking spaces.
From my experience yesterday, the stewards are not finding the new set up easy either. If you are reading this and are the long dark haired owner of a swanky black Mercedes SUV with a personalised number plate ending "SUU", I'm slightly puzzled why the hell you think you can just stick your status symbol where you like and tell the steward you're not moving, get out and walk off, while my severely disabled mate has to struggle to get his roller walker and crutches out of his car, because he understands that some system has to exist. Whoever you are, you're a selfish ignorant bloody disgrace.
