Blues World Codecs

Hey people,

just signed up for Blues World and none of the videos seem to want to play. I'm thinking that maybe my media player is missing the required codecs or something. Does anyone know what the requirements are for these videos to play? I used to have Bluesworld a year or so back and accessed through my old computer it worked fine.

Surely the requirement is to get your old computer back

Yeah i'm a uni student n i popped home for a few days to take in the Brighton game n get the car serviced. Normal service will hopefully be resumed on return to Bournemouth, just anxious to see Hunt's goal again.

Go on to the internet and download the Ace Codec Pack, this will do everthing you want it regarding DVD and Video streaming.

Shouldn't the site offer the codecs rather than allow its subscribers to search mercilessly in the Web and download all manner of Warez and hacks and dodgy bits of software.
I know DIVX is quite legit but if i'd spent some money on a site i'd want that site to guide me exactly what to do and where to go if I needed some updates to load its software.........

Knowing the spellchecker on the site though they'd probably direct me to some porn site cause the link was spelt wrong...

blah blah blah

Usually, if the inscreen player is being temperamental, clicking on the pop-up brings the video/audio up in WMP, which usually works fine so long as you've got the latest version.

You need to have the latest version of Windows Media Player, version 9 or 10 to enjoy multimedia. You should have at least Windows 98 Second Edition if using the 98 system.

To make sure that you have all of the codecs that are currently supported, reinstall or upgrade Windows Media Player. To do so, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

Microsoft Download Centre

If that fails email customerservices@premiumtv.co.uk and they will assist you.

Codecs are used by media players to decode the data that makes up the video and audio.

Thing is I've got a dodgy version of windows so it wont let me update anything. Will have to wait til i get back to my uni digs post-cardiff game and see if it works ok there.

You say it as if you mean that Windows is a stable and pucker choice of software.

It is not.

Windows has completley taken away any interest I had with computers, PC World got rid of the remaining.

If your having trouble updating, you could always try a third-party codec collection program like CCCP.

http://www.cccp-project.net/

Just install it and it will automatically ensure almost any codec you could want will run with any video/audio program you have on your computer.

Works for me with Winamp, Windows Media Player. Core-media player, Quicktime, etc...

Not had to go searching for a codec with any of them in the two years i've been using it.

Haven't got Blues World myself so I can't confirm whether it works or not, but assume it should be fine.
