All,

It is with great regret that I must inform you that due to the high level of interest from Southend fans in tandem with the small capacity of the stadium, the two clubs have agreed that security costs would spiral beyond any benefit of staging the match. The team were also hoping to be "in and out" however there is only one flight a day to Gdansk and it's at 2pm.

It has been mentioned however that Sopot and their fans would be more than welcome to visit Southend, with a possible "buy one return flight to Southend airport, get one child's wrist band at Peter Pan's free" offer being thrown in.

Cheers

shame.
