Freddy Eastwood's last game in a Southend shirt in Bristol went rather well; a repeat tomorrow would be good.
The man in charge is first year referee Carl Berry from Cheam in Surrey.
He has refereed Southend just once before, the season opener and customary win against Hereford at home. He did okay as far as I can recall with Hereford just shading the yellow cards 3-2.
His count count has been completely average with 64 yellows and 3 reds from 20 matches and he was recently appointed to his first Championship game.
Assistants are Matthew Wilkes from Dudley in the West Midlands and David Woolford from Andover. Fourth Official, Lee Swabey, from Plymouth has a little further to travel this time having performed the same role at Plymouth when we threw away a couple of points recently.
