Ok, so not really Shrimpers related but I thought it would get a better response putting in here
Just what in Gods name are the Brum board/club thinking about? Considering their current league position and knowing that the FA wouldn't look to kindly on them relaying their pitch mid season and the likely hood of a hefty fine and a possible points deduction I cannot for the life of me think why they decided to go ahead and carry out the work. Surely they knew it wouldn't be ready in time and presumably the repercussion thereof.
If I were a Brum supporter I'd be absolutely steaming that the club and taken such a risk. Why do it mid season?
It will be very interesting to see what punishment the FA decide to meter out.
Just imagine if Southend United had taken such a decision mid season with all the possible consequences. I dare say we'd be calling for the necessary heads to roll.
