BT - FC Match 11

Survived the rest of the day and am 16 behind with 5 wickets in hand. Got to be happy after being 18-4!

They trail by 52 with 7 wickets in hand. I've taken off Granville's bowling, so he doesn't get tired. If Sipho and Deakin can emulate last week, we'll have a chance. Wouldn't be bothered to lose this tomorrow though.

I thought for one horrible moment i was going to drop an FC point with 3 wickets down and not much over 100 on the board. Good job I played one star bat whose 150no helped declare on 400 -4

4 wickets down already . Should be done by tea hopefully

End of Over 4 (6 runs). krackens: 16-1, runrate=4.00 (1st Inn: 79-10)
Trail by 267 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 362-3 dec)
Petty 2-0-7-0
Johnson* 0 (2 balls)
Trench 7 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Philpott c. Andyraj b. Singh lali 7 (FOW: 9/1)

Should be all over by tea-time.

Well Mrs BB managed to pick up a point, but I'll be surprised if this goes into a 3rd day.

End of Over 110 (5 runs). Sky Blues: 505-4, runrate=4.59
Louis 19-2-86-0
Gall* 26 (27 balls)
Waters 44 (48 balls)

Last Wicket: Manchester c & b. Leigh 0 (FOW: 451/4)

One ball today was all it took and 25,000 people turned up to watch.

And that's the end of the match. Southend United won by an innings and 303 runs.

End of Over 33 (Maiden). Multiple Scorgasms: 38-10, runrate=1.15 (1st Inn: 20-10)
Trail by 303 runs. (Southend United 361-1 dec)
Barrowdale 7-6-1-2
Rennie* 9 (79 balls)

32.1 W Barrowdale to Oupanyana
GONE! Barrowdale strikes - a very fine ball indeed, angling into Oupanyana before cutting away. He fended it at hip height to Gamage. Great ball; excellent cricket from Barrowdale in particular.

Lost Saj early so it's going to be fairly even going into the second innings.

47.3 W Byrne to Mahmood
Rank bad ball down leg side, but Daniel has taken a blinder! Unbelievably athletic keeping has not only saved four runs, it's also dismissed Mahmood!

47.1 W Byrne to Arrowsmith
What a horrible decision from Arrowsmith, he's not offered a shot to that one and it struck him on the front pad. Daniel tells him where to go... back to the pavilion!

End of Over 47 (4 runs). World All Stars XI: 157-6, runrate=3.34
Trail by 205 runs. (Beyond Heresy 362-3 dec)

Arrowsmith* 40 (81 balls)
Keene 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Speare b. Mullins 0 (FOW: 157/6)

46.4 W Mullins to Speare
OUT! Speare completely missed it. Great bowling by Mullins, he really drove it through the gap and out goes middle stump.
46.3 W Mullins to Hlompho
Yorker from Mullins, and it's got through! Hlompho played down completely the wrong line, and the ball hit middle stump, great bowling

Action packed start to the day, five down already

Some quality blockage from Suthers allows Richie to get his ton and us to sneak a batting point.

End of Over 66 (1 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 201-9, runrate=3.05
Lead by 39 runs. (Launceston Lashers 162-10)

Sutherland 3 (26 balls)

Last Wicket: Horrigan c. Cooper b. Rowntree 3 (FOW: 185/9)

My numbnuts ended up 304 all out! Lost Titterton early on and the longer than normal tail ( a given in FC! ) caused me to go from 290-6 to 304 all out!

BREAKING NEWS:

South Africa U-19 v West Indies U-19

As usual Windies lost but I can report best figures of 2-53 and 26 (at No. 8) for the boy Plummer. No XP pop but hopefully he'll get one next week. Bizarrely they picked him as captain, not the best idea seeing as he's mediocre leadership!

Elsewhere, our day has become a hell of a lot easier:

End of Over 49 (1 runs). Launceston Lashers: 82-10, runrate=1.67 (1st Inn: 162-10)
Lead by 36 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 208-10)
Sutherland 16-8-16-5
Thabiso* 1 (22 balls)

We made it to double figures without losing a wicket!!

End of Over 6 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 12-1, runrate=2.00 (1st Inn: 208-10)
Trail by 24 runs. (Launceston Lashers 162-10 & 82-10)
Rowntree 3-1-3-0
Askew* 0 (0 balls)
Lamey 4 (19 balls)

Last Wicket: Sandile c. Cooper b. Thabiso 8 (FOW: 12/1)

Absolute madness. Dismissed them for 232, a 16 run deficit, and then got bowled out for 58! On a flat wicket!

Lost by 10 wickets. At least it happened today I guess.

Felix XI Southend
Top Order: wonderful remarkable
Middle Order: proficient proficient
Lower Order: worthless worthless
Seam Bowling: quality quality
Spin Bowling: miraculous remarkable
Fielding: competent woeful

Hard done by a bit there. My spin rating isn't accurate as Granville bowled yesterday but not today, so that got lowered by Nieuwenhuis. Never mind.
