Budgeting/finance software

Pubey

Guest
Hi all,

Anyone got any recommendations for any good free/v cheap budget software or decent spreadsheets that are good for keeping tabs on household finances. Mrs Pubey and I are working hard to save up some cash but want a decent way to keep on top of things as keep on getting surprised by random bills etc etc.

happy to do that but wanted to see if anyone had one they'd recommend in particular.

We have a joint account and all household bills come out of that. I have a post-it which has all the outgoings on it and make sure i put enough into that account to cover it. Seems to work just as well.

ditto. Seperate account for all the bills works so well, as you dont have to worry about keeping your own bank account back for bits during the month. Also put in slightly more a month than the bills cost and so have a small fund for any emergencys, or, if it builds up, to buy white goods

My next door neighbour made me an Excel file for finances when i was at uni.

I can emil this to you if youPM me your email address for you to look at? It may be useful.

Em.
