Went into the club shop today to get tickets for me and the kids for the west ham game and for Plymouth on saturday.
Bought tickets for west ham fine (in the west). But they could not do me tickets for Saturday in the north bank cos the computer wouldn't give them seat numbers (even tho theres no seating allocation). None of the kids working there new a way round this so I came away with no tickets for Saturday being told someone would call me.

Same old Southend tinpot! Rant over.

Last season if you had tickets for the North or the West you could just walk round to the North and back unchallenged. Not for the West ham game obviously but should be ok for League games. Only games that you couldn't last year from memory was Gillingham, Brentford, Cup games and Borient.

Don't know if this helps

Yep thanks for that, still bad show from the club. I think they have a new ticket system again this year, no one new what to do when I ask for north bank tickets! Maybe one of them could of suggested what you have just said.

I don't live in Southend so it was a pain not to be able to get tickets there and then!

I've never known anywhere to have so many 'new systems'.

Went into the ticket office yesterday morning and was unable to get a ticket for last night's match as it had "disappeared" from their system. Declined their offer to ring me when they'd "found it".

Staff pleasant enough but, frankly, didn't have a clue. #shambles

Pointed out a few weeks ago this is another problem for the Club off the pitch when money is scarce. not realistic in my view to have all staff behind the scenes being qualified specialists or at least have an abundance of experience but in truth the heads of all depts should be. maybe they are but to be honest with how things are run it doesn't appear that way. I harp back to Brian Wheeler a great guy for us in the dept he helped tick along as a prime example. but we got shot of him months after bringing him back but then with no money to play with for a whole new wide range of ideas and iniatives maybe he was better off out of it with respect.

If people email Steve Kavanagh with their complaints he will sort it, especially if it relates to people not being able to give the club money.

And in addition the younger generation on the staff should be guided by their dept superiors so maybe one day they can reach those heights themselves if they wished too. a kind of like promoting from within which would continue to save money instead of looking to specialists which the club can't afford anyway. but how i've commented on this would provide a better understanding and easier transistions. people would know where they'd stand, get their training provided instead of the perception we have of thinking they don't know how to solve problems when they arise or weather we don't know if they're comimg or going.

My complaint is we can't sign players, so I don't want to give the club my money!
That was my reason for not going last night.
Decided to get tickets for Saturday and the club are to thick to take my money! (do they deserve my custom)?

This sort of highlights what I've said earlier in this thread. They are mainly youngsters who naturally because of their ages havenm't had enough experience of Life let alone expect them to make sound judgements and decisions in what is an important business. well especially on a regular basis anyway. one of those things where you just have to accept this as being the situation as it is but one thing i would ask Steve Kavanagh, and i say this in serious mode, is can those not long out of school have lessons in the art of PR? This would help with relations.

If he is not aware of this situation then he's not doing is job properly and is therefore unlikely to be able to rectify it.

I have been in touch with SK this afternoon and he is aware of the ticket office situation and they are experiencing issues following the upgrade but getting there and a new manager starts soon so a new focus on customer service will be a key part of the role.

Talking of the ticket office, I was told there a couple of weeks ago that new season cards were being sent out to replace the old ones? Does any one on here know the situation? Cheers.

Thanks Ken

So the club said they would get someone to call me on Saturday, It's now Wednesday! Surprise surprise no phone call!
Shoddy to say the least!
