Channel 4 - Comedy Showcase

Anyone been watching channel 4's new series where they pilot some fledgling sitcoms. Best one(s) will get a permanent slot.

First up with the semi-awful Campus - fly on the wall situmentry about staff at a university.

Then last night they previewed Phone Shop.

Totally the opposite really good and worth a punt for a series. Evidently Ricky Gervais was on the writing team.

I thought it was ok. The cool yoof speak got on my tits a bit - apparently C4 have already commissioned a 6 part series.

Thought last night, for a pilot, was hilarious. Showed great potential, although 'Newman' ended up as a bit of a Gervais Cameo...

Stand out moments for me:

Black Man Graham.
White Man Fiante.
The Whaling Wall.

Have this downloaded for viewing this evening. Actually got a text from my old man that simply said..."new comedy on Channel 4 called Phone Shop, very funny....download if you can".

We normally share the same taste in comedy plus the comments on here mean I'm looking forward to this.
