The referee for Tuesday's away match at Cheltenham will be making his way from Newport, Isle of Wight. It will be first year referee James Linington who will be refereeing his tenth ever League match and second at this level. He is used to a bigger stage though, in his previous capacity as a Select Group Assistant Referee.

His previous nine League matches have produced an above-average 33 yellow and 2 red cards .... a significant majority to away players.

Assisting will be Steve Creighton from Berkshire and Wes Linden from Middlesex with Andy Williams from Hereford on 4th Official duty.

Slightly worrying! Let's hope it's not a bad tempered game then.

So sounds like we'll be without Macca for the Luton game then .

James Linington withdrew from this match and was replaced by the experienced Scott Mathieson. (Perhaps he would have missed the last ferry back to the Isle of Wight!).

Don't suppose anyone noticed amongst the stupor.
