Official Match Thread Colchester United v Southend United (The Big Essex Derby)

Just absolutely fuming at this performance and what hurts even more as a fan is the lack of opportunities to make that anger known at the moment.

I've seen more class coming from a bunch of lads on a Sunday playing on a moat with hangovers from their Saturday night out.

MM worked so hard to make us defensively sound. Phil Brown has thrown that hard work away on two and a half games.

Great decision that one Ron.

Ohh do come off it??? PB has to go attacking and take risks because I am not sure that you’re aware...we need to at least attempt to score goals?

If PB came in and played conservative we would all moan that he is doing nothing different than MM

In all my years following the Blues this is truly the worst team I have seen. Zero attacking threat. Dick Bates team look good compared to this lot
Exactly what I was thinking. I think we played better in the 8-1 defeat at the Gills.

This bunch have got used to losing.
Clear all bar Elvis, Hobson, Clifford; Ox would probably be OK in the National, but won't stay on the wages.
Ox can get in the bin, been too comfortable in his no.1 position for too long, has nothing left to prove. Need a new keeper.

As for Elvis, he's seen too many failed squads and needs to move on. Clifford is better than our team and will move onto better things.

Leaving Hobson as our last player who may just hang around. Even then I think Hobson could join a decent L2 side next season.
