As you all have a free Saturday, perhaps you may fancy popping on the Island. Concord are playing Lowestoft in the Quarter Finals of The FA Vase at 3pm.

A win and they're just a semi final from Wembley.

must admit i was thinking about it. It would be a great achievement for an Essex senior league side.

Well unfortunately Concord lost by a single early goal. It was about the only chance Lowestoft (who brought 6 coaches of supporters) had, and it was well taken.

Concord had the best of the first half, and squandered some good chances as the half went on. The second half was tight, and Concord hit the bar as they pressed in the last ten, but Lowestoft were resiliant and held on.

A good effort by Concord who didn't deserve to lose, but a great achievement to reach the last eight.
