Convoluted!

so looking at this tangled web Ron obviously has some backers with deep pockets that he has convinced to invest in his project, these people are going to want something out of this, at the moment that is all tied into the property side.

it seems like there are two options, either we get planning permission and everyone gets their payday or the club gets spun out as a separate entity with all the losses.

mind you there is a third option, one of Rons backers thinks they can do a better job and we become the next Bournemouth. or Orient.

This.

Great post.

Just found out that one of the Zakay Brothers is called Sol - our stars are aligning at last!

Ron was very quick to point out in the radio interview that SUFC Ltd owns next to nothing and that all the real assets such as Roots Hall, Boots and Laces and Fossetts Farm are owned by his other companies.

Is there a restrictive covenant on Roots Hall preventing redevelopment without a replacement ground being provided first?
The Fossets Farm development needs a viable football club to pay him rent. He has continually waived the rent on Roots Hall and his companies have “lent“ the club millions.

Covenant or not Sports England are one of the mandatory organisations that are consulted into the schemes such as this

In reality and development would as a minimum have to replace on a pitch for pitch basis or based on something called the green book the facilities replacing Roots hall would have to be equal to or better than those already in situ.

That requirement only remains in place if the facilities are being used or I think have been in the past ( I think that is within the last 2 years)

Citizen Housing LLP have posted their first financial statements for those who like such things:

So Allied Housing have loaned Citizen Housing 7m quid
Which they won't ask for back within the next 12 months if doing so will put Citizen out of business. It would be interesting when that money came through compared to the embargo being lifted

Given that those figures were for period ended March, I wouldn't expect a correlation.

However, he won't let anybody else near the job, so we're stuck with him for the time being
