Two fabulous photos and two sets of fabulous players - in those days we seem to be able to sign players from various other clubs and parts of the country and they had talent and were entertaining. *
For me, I think they were about the best times to be a Southend United fan.
* I admit that rose coloured glasses might be a factor here as there are 1 or 2 players in the photos who a) didn't have talent and b) weren't entertaining.
