Dan Mooney

Love how complimentary the interviewer was about us! No hard feelings from me. Was really excited when he signed and he was electric in pre-season. But we don’t play a system that will get the best out of him and he wasn’t playing well enough to justify changing it to fit him in, especially as we were doing well. Sometimes it just doesn’t work out, but wish him all the best.

He was, wasn't he? I thought 'we've signed a hell of a player here'. Ah well, best of luck to the lad.

Made his first appearance back at Alty off the bench against Halifax on Boxing Day. They lost their first home league game since September 2nd.

Dan Mooney has resigned for Altrincham, Here is his Interview.
Shame Dan could not make it with us, not the first, not going to be the last unsettled player.
Should be seeing Dan against us on Saturday!

Seems to have had an extraordinary affect on Altrincham form since his move back. Coincidence ?

Came on as a half-time sub and scored to put Altrincham 2-1 up. It was his first goal since he returned to Altrincham (and his first since his goal for us v Oldham on the opening day of the season)

Good player, but feel he needs to be the star of the show at a team to get that swagger back about him. Massively overshadowed by the ability of the likes of Conn-Clarke there. He didn’t go back as the star man.

Sad for him, but really not surprised, he never looked fit when playing for us and I don't mean carrying an injury - just unfit.

I wish him well but wonder if he has the desire to be a professional footballer any more.
I felt he looked disinterested whilst with us - everyone else was giving their all and he just didn't seem part of it.

Clearly there is more going on with Mooney that we know about. At the end of his time with us he looked disinterested and was obviously looking to leave,he ended back with with Altrincham but appears never settled back as hardly played.I saw him come on as a sub against Bromley and he was poor and looked very average so no surprise he has been released.Be very interested to see where he may end up most likely NLN if he's lucky
