"The new 2006/07 season started this evening from the humble beginnings of the suburbs of Southampton, with a good 3-1 win over Conference South side Eastleigh.

Not only was this the Glovers first match of the season, but it also the birthing of new manager Russell Slade, and with it the Gaffer put out a largely experimental side made up of trialists and fringe players.

It brought success too, with Danny Webb grabbing two first half goals and Ishmael Welsh adding a late third, with Eastleigh Captain Danny Smith in between giving his side hope with a wonderfully struck effort early in the second half."

A tap in or point blank header celebrated as if he had just slotted home a Champions League winner (I would imagine.)
