Farnborough have appointed former Spurs and Woking defender Dean Austin as their new director of football.
Austin, 34, who had a break from the game last season, will oversee football at all levels at Farnborough.

He told BBC SCR: "My role goes all the way from the kids to the first team and helping manager Vic Searle with anything he needs."

"I'm an ambitious persom I've got plenty of experience and know how and I feel very good about this.

He added: "The chairman is so enthusiastic about what he wants to do with the club."

No at all apparently. As i said over on SCC, he had quite a bit of interest from league clubs about being a coach ...

He's now taken over as manager - have a look at this from the BBC Website:

Austin replaces Searle

Maybe this was always in the offing and explains why he didn't want to take on the CoE role for us.
