Eastwood for under 21's

I know that freddy has just turned 22 but i think there is a way he could play in the under 21's. That would be great..

I seem to think players are still eligible for the Under 21s if their 22nd birthday falls in the current season so yes he would be a possible but I can't really see it happening.

It would be nice to see Freddy play for the U21s but I don't think he'll be picked....

Besides we don't want him to be tired out by playing in matches that don't involve Southend...

Even if he were eligible, I wouldn't want Eastwood to miss any Southend games in order to turn out for the U21 side.

I'm sure Jamie Redknapp played for the under 21's when he was about 27, possibly against Italy but i cant remember exactly.

Eastwood can play for the Under 21's. On two accounts;

one - He turned 22 during the course of a season.
two - two players can be named in the squad who are over the age of 21 and their 22nd birthdays were not during the course of the season.

I believe Chris Sutton is also a player who played for the under 21's at the age of about 24
