The Echo have a dedicated section of their website promoting the new stadium complex at Fossett's Farm.
There's a lot of encouraging news here that I didn't realise, such as:
* Big retailers such as JJB Sports are already queuing up for shop units
* Ron Martin is encouraging development of the dualling of Priory Crescent to improve access - he is even offering to invest in upgrading Cuckoo Corner should the dualling not be ready for the stadium's opening
* Ron is confident we can fill our 22,000 seats
* The Club estimate that turnover will DOUBLE in our first year there
* The new training facilities / academy will be state-of-the art to attract youngsters that might go elsewhere
* Ron has a master plan - he sees Southend's position as being like Middlesbrough's - 750,000 people within 30 minutes of Southend, and the nearest football clubs being Col******r (40M North) and West Ham (40M West)
In alll, very encouraging news....and exciting times ahead I think!
