Absolutely correct MK Shrimper, my fault, just raging about such morons. How well a player played is irrelevant. Racism is wrong full stop.
They may be young'uns etc BUT they have learn't this racist ****e from someone/somewhere despite all the efforts schools and clubs etc are making to educate and eradicate it. Worrying, shameful and it needs investigating and dealing with properly, not just a telling off/caution but something which will involve the kids and their network being taught a painful lesson, and it staying learnt. It's such a shame to need to ban young fans when the club tries hard to encourage them to become a fan to begin with. But this has no place in society and if it takes being banned from football to learn that now, then so be it.

The reports on here are confusing. One says East greens, others make it sound like it was in the West.
I never heard anything near the half way line East. But a coupe of heavies did storm up the stairs with response team? on their jackets.
Surely if they were only 12/13 they could of been easily told the error of their ways by nearby fans.
For what its worth I had a chat with a group of young shrimpers on the train at the end of last season on the way back from Rochdale and they came across quite well. One of them had cheekily asked me if I was a trump supporter. They were boisterous and the steward over reacted by asking some of us older fans to baby sit them. I told the steward they would be no bother and they weren't. The line of police waiting on the platform as we arrived back in London was laughable.
It's not too confusing. There was an incident in the East Greens and the West Stand. I witnessed the West Stand one, they were kids and incredibly stupid in their actions.@rigsby the incident I refer to was at the front of the West stand, right near the half way line.
I've already said that they were Millwall fans, I don't know why they were walked round the pitch, possibly because they had tickets for the west? I was definitely told by the security boys that they were Millwall. There was also about 10 Millwall in the east greens who were persuaded to leave at half time.
I'm sure the club can identify the address used to purchase the tickets. If it's a Bermondsey area address, then they are from Millwall. If a local address then Southend. Also, they could send them a letter warning and advising against racial abuse.
Thatnkfully it doesn't suggest anything of the sort. All we know at the moment is that a group of boys were ejected from the stand. Two rows in front of me was a family of mum and dad and two kids. They were definitely from Millwall because they jumped up in the air when the Lions scored and clapped the Millwall subs. Nothing wrong with that, they were well behaved and it was a friendly after all.Article in the Echo by CP states these kids were in the West Stand which suggests they are regrettably from Southend. However I hope that the club can identify them and where ever they are based there not welcome at Roots or anywhere else
It's not that simple though is it - my address is in MK, so when we play MK would I be classed as "one of them"? They could have just bought tickets at the gate. It's all very odd - regardless of what team you support anywhere in the UK, your team will contain a black player. The national team has the likes of Raheem Stirling and Dele Ali.
As an adult, there is more chance of you living outside the Southend area. It would be a miracle if these kids didn't live in the Southend or Millwall area.
Also, buy at the gate was in the club shop ticket office, and they have to have the address of the person buying tickets, in case of incidents like hooliganism, abuse, throwing flares, etc. So the first thing they ask is your postcode and name and 1st line of address. If already on the system through previous ticket purchase, it's very quick. If not on the system they take your full details and put you on the ticketing system.
