This is tonight's Evening Standard editorial, not the sport pages, the bloody editorial where they comment on the most important story of the day from all over the world.
..and this from a paper that I'm always moaning hardly ever mentions us despite being in their catchment area.
``Just sometimes, football produces a moment of such magic that we fall in the love with the game all over again. The goal last night that defeated mighty Manchester United at Southend was one such moment.
Freddy Eastwood, who only two years ago played for non-league Grays Athletic, curled in a goal from a free-kick in the 27th minute, driving the MU juggernaut out of the Carling Cup.
The Essex side never let Sir Alex Ferguson's finest get back into the game, and it was a night to remember for all those who love it when the underdog bites back.''
It then went on to say how George Bush's policies in Iraq had hurt his election hopes at home but I won't include it all!
