Left back Andy Dawson and striker/wide man Craig Fagan are both targets of PB, according to the Echo. Dawson is 34 and also wanted by Scunthorpe so may favour going there, meaning Fagan is the most likely to sign but any transfer is "a long way off".

I know (we all know) that there needs to be a blend of old and young - experience alongside raw talent etcetera ....... but I'm not getting any good vibes so far. Perhaps we are reading too much into this and the mention of the names is only there to demonstrate that the club is trying to recruit new players - even if the likelihood of them joining SUFC is very low.

Ive given up when it comes to judging signings. The biggest signings we make seem to be complete disappointments and the successes come from nowhere.

Agree though, do we really want to be signing 34 year olds?

Fagan is an excellent player despite who he played for. Dawson may be older than Barker but as long as he is better - and that cannot be hard - it is an improvement.
