As i'm going to be in Greenwich on Saturday, i'd like to know if there is any decent pubs to watch the game in?

Or seeing as Plank 1 (MtS

Good question Hils... Matt might know better than me which is the best pub to watch the game in.

It begs the question though - how come when we're travelling to Cardiff, you'll be going in the opposite direction?

Yeah, a bit weird that...

In terms of pubs which show the footy...

Starting at the station itself, the St. Christopher's Inn is right by the station entrance.  That has always got footy on, so should be showing it.

Next, on the same side of the road but heading towards the centre of Greenwich is The Auctioneer on Greenwich High Road.  It's one of those "It's a Scream" chain pubs, but the footy should be on.

If you keep walking towards the centre of Greenwich, you'll then reach The Mitre.  Again, that shows the footy (but always looks a bit rough - can't say I've ever been in there myself).

The only other pub locally which shows sports is the Prince Albert on Royal Hill - turn right up the hill by the big red building with GDA (Greenwich Dance Academy) on the massive red-brick clock tower.  You go past two excellent pubs - Edward I and the Greenwich Union - but neither of those show sports.  The Prince Albert does, however.

Think that's pretty much your lot for central Greenwich.  There are plenty of nice pubs around there... but I'm pretty sure that none of the others shows footy.

So, how come you're in Greenwich whilst we'll be in Cardiff...?

P.S. How come I'm plank #1?  Surely that's Spiff...

P.P.S. I usually go to the Sports Cafe because I'm often meeting other Shrimpers in Central London - e.g. W4 Shrimper.

Matt
Im skint so I cant go to Cardiff. I'm going to Greenwich to meet up with my sister because I have to get something there and i'm staying in Vange to see family etc over the weekend.

Wish I was going, but I can't afford it all the time. I've already had £100 taken out of my wages by my bitch of a manager......

Might see you two at Paddington Station tho!
