A lunchtime kick off sees us face a Halifax side in similar form to us, in fact they would be two places below us in the table and level on points if it wasn’t for our inept owner. Thanks Ron.

Chris Millington’s side finished three places below us, comfortably mid-table, last season but have enjoyed a stronger start to this season with only one defeat so far (away at Boreham Wood in the second game of the season) and are currently on a five match unbeaten run, most recently winning away at Rochdale after three consecutive draws.

A familiar name in their squad is Aaron Cosgrave who made an uninspiring 10 appearances for us last season without scoring, and who joined The Shaymen in the summer after being released by AFC Wimbledon (our Aaron must love playing for a Phoenix club!).

Once again there’s little to report about our squad so far which remains as it has since the start of the season. Obviously we’ll wait anxiously for news on Jack Bridge’s injury, but other than that the squad picks itself and there are few options to play around with for the starting XI.

So who would you pick to start for the lunchtime kick off in Yorkshire and what do you predict the result will be?

If Demi does play I think it makes sense to have two genuine strikers playing. Demi nearly always plays the early cross into the box and hardly ever tries to be the opposing player unlike Bridge. Therefore we must have a least one of the strikers within the penalty area. to take advantage of good service ( hopefully).
I am not sure Mooney can play this role successfully.

Think we will do well here! Also playing at lunchtime will give us an advantage before the 3 o'clocks as the weather is supposed to be 32 at its peek tomora and so we can take advantage of a cooler temperature

We can handle the hot weather more then those pasty faced northern mugs as well.

Why does that give us an advantage over Halifax ? Same for both teams.
