I hope I have got this right – matches being rearranged etcetera is a headache for an old codger like me to get my head around.

3rd Feb – Home – The Heed (8th place)

10th Feb – Home – The Minstermen (19th place)

17th Feb – Away – Oxford City (24th place/bottom)

20th Feb – Away – Maidenhead (14th place)

24th Feb – Home – Aldershot (7th place)

27th Feb – Home – Altrincham (5th place)

All in all, a very busy month against a wide range of differing quality opposition. 18 points on offer.

9 points off the play offs with 18 matches (i.e. possible 54 points) still to go.

Believe I'm right that the only match to be rearranged so far (according tothe OS) is the Alty one.

Fixtures right, remaining games wrong. We have 18 games remaining, so 54 points up for grabs.

You are right, we are currently 11 points from the play-offs - that is being accurate rather than pedantic.

I was meaning that we were 9 points off the play-offs as at the start of the month but I omitted to say that. [frown; sad face]

Jan was a write off with the postponed games which could of gained us some valuable points and Chesterfield which most are saying was a free hit, we now come into a 6 game period where i believe we could and should be earmarking 15 points with a minimum requirement of 13 if we are to challenge for Play Offs

I have faith in this bunch of players and management so im going to be bullish and say we will get 9/9 points in the next 3 games which should set us up nicely to achieve this target and make for an interesting March and April

Whats your thoughts on our realistic targets in the period ?

Perversely I am a bit nervous about the range of player choice now available to Mr Maher & Co particularly in the striker department. I wonder if it make take a few games for the right combination to come to the fore ......... and whilst there is a lot of the season still left, failing to get a large points haul in February would be quite a dent in any play-off aspirations.

I think if we want the play-offs we probably need to be winning at least 4 of those games
