Firestick?

Looking for some advice. I want to put a TV in my conservatory, mainly just for live TV (news etc) but am unable to use an outside aerial. If I buy a Firestick and run this via the wi-fi, can I download a straightforward FREE TV app, and if so, what would you recommend. I've done a lot of googling on this, but there seems to be a lot of vague info for what I want. Thanks everyone.

The Firestick has the BBC iPlayer app pre installed so you can get all their live channels via that. Likewise with other Freeview channel apps I believe.

You’ll need reasonable broadband speed to guarantee HD quality though.

We have a firestick. Be sure that you have a 1 amp USB port on your TV. My TV is relatively old so the USB ports are only 500 milliamps (i.e. 1/2 amp) so I need to use the AC cord that comes with it.

Just a thought, I have the Roku, it has most stuff on it including BBC iPlayer, Now TV, Amazon Prime etc. Obviously Now TV and prime need subscriptions to watch.
I don't use it to stream from phone to tv though but it does what I want it to do.

Just another option
