Is that league only or all games included? Obviously Bond has his first cup match tonight.

A reminder of just how good CP was when he first arrived. Promotion form. Such a shame how last season panned out. Wasn't all down to bad luck though. Poor fitness, weak signings, lack of strikers... We were not equipped at all. Maybe that impressive start allowed some complacency to creep in?

Equally it shows how you cant just add up points from the first 10 games to say which manger had the best start.

CP inherited a decent squad that had gone sour as the PB era came to an end. Very different to the injury hit squad that Bond took over.....With no time to work with he just had to grab 8 points from somewhere.

The first goal of the CP reign was that Kightly miss hit that crept in v Scunny. The crowd were fully on board because we now had a club legend rather than the evil Brown who demanded clean sheets and had personal vendettas against young players such as Clifford,Bridge and Williams After that win we had plenty of games to climb the table under no pressure. I'm not knocking CP, there was some cracking games in the second half of the season......Which turned out to be CP's downfall.

Most fans were talking promotion when we kicked off last season. So every mistake, let alone goal conceded, was taken personally.

Even injuries were CP's fault and players were abused on social media for the crime of getting injured whilst in a Southend shirt.

We ended up being top of the league for hoofing and for the team with the least leaders on the pitch.

KB has clearly made some decent signings and wants to improve our style of football, You cant go from avoiding relegation on goal difference and most long balls to no one experts.....Then look like Man city by mid August.......Some on here need to hold their nerve and remember they don't give out the medals in September.

I once won ‘employee of the month’ in September and received a medal , so that’s not strictly true .....

Kevin Bond ended with 3 wins and 2 draws in his first ten.
Sol - LLLLWLDLDL - 1 win, 2 draws

MM, 9 games in - and only 2 draws. Can he win tonight to equal Sol?

I looked at our last 50 games. 6-12-33; 30 points from 150 available.

0.33 points per game.
That is also exactly what we have so far this season. At least we are not getting any worse!

But we probably need about 1.1 points per game to stay up.
