Blue tinted optimist⭐🦐
Ron Martin has said he's not panicking yet as we have a better squad than last year and "no bad apples".

He has also said that because we are known as "the Blues" it was only right that we should have 2 differing shades of Blue for both home and away kits. Because of the 3 teams that both would clash with there is a 3rd red/white kit.

He also stated that the Betterview windows deal is for 2 years and so no more kits would be issued next season.

Presumably as long as Betterview don't go bust...

Good!, Although i bet there will be at least one, but certainly might push me into buying the away shirt.

Sorry. Just going through a bit of a slough of despond so far as the Shrimpers are concerned. Really think we're heading for a desperate and dire season, all my pre-season optimism has vanished.

Matt
I've done a piece for this Saturday's programme based on worst starts to a season.

The good news is:

In 1956/7, we only got 2 points from first 3 matches, and finished 7th.
In 1973-4, we lost our first three games, one of our worst ever starts to a campaign and didn’t win until our sixth game. But still we finished 12th

The bad news is:

Our two successful seasons (80/81 and 90/91) started off with runs of victories
In other years, even if we didn't win in our first three matches, we at least managed to score in the majority of draws or losses.
Only 13 times in our history have we started without a win in our first 3 League games.
4 of those 13 were in the last 10 years
I won't mention the 1996/7 season
