Well that clears that up.
I can’t see anything on our site or theirs (either their OS or the ticketing site) which confirms either way.Living in new biggin by the sea. Will take me hour and a half to gateshead. Can i pay on the day.
My thoughts exactly!. Only difference when we used to do that, Cardiff 3 times, Morecambe, Grimsby etc, we'd drive there on the morning of the game & stay overnight after.Travelodge booked for Friday night, 5 miles from Gateshead. Sod driving there and back in one day!
Very true re daylight, our preference is normally cheaper stay Friday and having all of Sunday at home.My thoughts exactly!. Only difference when we used to do that, Cardiff 3 times, Morecambe, Grimsby etc, we'd drive there on the morning of the game & stay overnight after.
Main difference was driving back in daylight the following morning & not darkness.
Can't be as bad as travelling on 'The Brothers Grimm' coach's back in the 70's?. Many motorways still to be constructed, & many a time the coach broke down adding a couple of hrs or so to the long journeys!.Tickets bought for me and the boy. First time to Gateshead. Thinking will drive and stay over somewhere Saturday night, as the coach journey time is… unpalatable
I hope it won’t be as bad as that!!Can't be as bad as travelling on 'The Brothers Grimm' coach's back in the 70's?. Many motorways still to be constructed, & many a time the coach broke down adding a couple of hrs or so to the long journeys!.
Oh yes, too many to mention!. But one that stands out was our F.A cup 3rd rd game at Peterborough in Jan 74. It was very dodgy in the ground to say the least, and afterwards waiting by our coach's were the local Hells Angel Chapter!.I hope it won’t be as bad as that!!
Must have a fair few great memories from those roads trips tho?
Well if you go onto web site via link in first post and the go to Gateshead travel info it says £45 members and £40 non membersWell that clears that up.
You might be able to wangle a reduction through a ‘personal negotiation’ with the driver @borientater , but personally I’d say paying up in full sounds like the way to go.
