Generation Kill

Quote so far (up to episode 3 and it's amazing)

"I'm afraid of dogs," Trombley mumbles.

I ask him if he was ever attacked by a dog when he was little.

"No," he answers. "My dad was once. The dog bit him, and my dad jammed his hand down his throat and ripped up his stomach. "

"Where did we find this guy?" Person asks.

"I like cats," Trombley offers.

I read the book while in the canaries earlier in the year very good book

definitely want to give the book a read... the series is absolutely incredible. I have no idea what war is like (maybe Chadded can testify) but it seems to me to be so accurate and real, capturing the horror, boredom, anger, frustration and humour of heading into battle.

War is hell Pubes. All I can attest to is that there certainly is a lot of boredom, and that I never got used to live ammo being shot at me - it always scared me ****less.
