Gower

shrimpled

Director⭐🦐
How good was Gower today? He is in form in this league he is simply untouchable. He was everywhere and was a constant thorn. He looks fit, quick and quality. His goal capped off a fantastic performance from him. He worked well with Hammel and somebody should have scored from his cross after he got the by-line.

The other two mentionable performaces were McCormack and Hammel for me.

Thoughts?

Agreed, Gower looked back to his old self today we need him in that kind of form and we looked good down the left today, the right however was severely lacking in comparison.

Macca was everywhere today, in the second half he was like a man possessed!

maybe its because hes only 18 and is being played out of position, some good touched in the second half and a couple of good runs

He didn't tackle once. At all. The short corner was his man. He looked out of his depth. He needs to have bad games to improve and he will be a very very good player, but today he really was poo.

gower had great game today, every decision right to cut in or go outside, didnt slow down the attacks.. perfect for the atttack attack attack attitude in 2nd half

we create so many chances when we do that and the whole team works so hard

just a shame we gave it away in first half

Agreed again. I was disappointed after we equalized, we dropped the intensity a notch or two and had we continued in that vein we'd have won. However i still thought we'd win the game but i'll take 2-2 considering the first half 'performance'.

Im glad to see Mr Gower is getting back to what we know he is capable off. At the moment, with Moose doing a job on the other flank, we need Gower to perform and thats what he is doing. I actually think because Moose is in the team, we seem to use the left flank more and from this Gower has gained a lot of confidence as he is seeing much more of the ball and using it in the correct way. He's had a slow start to the season but i now expect him to kick on and get his customary 10 goals and plenty of assists!

Stonking performance from Marky G. Good to see him back from his extended summer holiday. He ran and ran and ran all game, was quick, passed and crossed well, caused a nuisance for Celtenham. Just a shame that some people weren't his drastically superior wavelength (i.e. pull-back from the byline!) !

Agreed top performance from Marky G today ..back to his best ...reminds me of me in my heyday ..a couple of years back ;)

Don't even bother with the age thing :finger:

First time since Gowers been at the club where hes ran to the by line and cut the ball back along the floor instead of those chipped balls he always does when hes at the byline. Much better chance to score when its hit along the ground.

gower and hammell worked exceptionally well together, they were causing them all sort of problems. if we could sort out the right side of midfield i would say we probably have the best midfield in the league with gower, macca and bailey.

Gower is class! Excellent first touch and the ability to create space by his ball control- if he had raw speed he would be in the premier league. Well done, Mark, it's good to see you back on song.

The G Man had a great game and fully deserved his goal and the Man of the Match. Great to see him back in form.
