Most of these programmes mentioned above are way before my time but I noticed you missed off Dallas and Dynasty from your list where your handbag fetish came from.

I think it’s so hard to have a great 5 TV shows. Because you have to put them into different categories and looking through the lists there is so many that would be on my Top 5 but would end up being a Top joint 5 of about 20 shows.

Shows like Only Fools and Horses, Little Britain/Come Fly with Me, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder etc. All comedy greats!

Afterlife and Derek are two the best shows on TV I have watched!

I missed out The Bridge and Fargo.

Ps so many series I can dip in for one ep like X Files, Supernatural, Parks and Rec, The Good Place.. and some seasons of others like early NYPD Blue or the 1st season of True Detective. Or 90% of Game of Thrones.

Of the black and white era US TV programmes I did like the true to life US army show Bilko which portrayed Uncle Sam's finest.
Gunsmoke was very good for it's time too.
What was the name of the WW2 prisoner of war comedy which portrayed the germans as baffoons and the yanks as all Steve McQueen cool?
