Breaking News Halford extends deal to end of season

Yes, that's good news. Provides useful cover and experience for our young players. His long throw will be a useful weapon too.

Could have done with him upfront second half yesterday.

Lets hope hes learned not to do silly fouls.

He's been a professional footballer since 2002. If he hasn't learnt that by now, he's not going to.

In his defence, that second yellow was, IMHO, somewhat harsh and what he did was probably just rash or bad timing.

Yes but maybe he hasnt fully learned to adjust his game to his diminishing pace/rustiness etc.

Whether it was harsh or not, when you are on a yellow, you don't make those sort of challenges, giving the ref an option to show you a second yellow

Yes, I think that's good news. We have a good mix of experience and youth, and the quality of the experienced ones will definitely benefit the others. Might also help persuade the loanee clubs to keep their youngsters with us.
