Got a bootleg of a '68 concert on. What a total legend!
Great coverage on BBC this week as mentioned by several others on here.

Love him or hate him?

Big love for me :)

Does anyone remember a program called 'Cooking for Elvis' which interviewed several people who cooked for Elvis during his lifetime?

My favourite was a whole baguette filled with bacon and cheese, fastened together with cocktail sticks and then deep fried.

I was never really a fan of Elvis, even less so when he was continually churning out cheesy films in the 60's. However he must be recognised as one of the most important artists in rock.

I'm sure he's sitting somewhere enjoying his 75th birthday laughing at all the fuss he still gets

His films were dog-**** and Colonel Tom Parker was a shyster, but the man is an absolute legend in my eyes.

New thread idea!

Agreed, as an actor he was not very good but as a singer he was pretty awesome. Was on holiday in Tenerife in 1977 when he died, remember the disbelief at the time.

Great Great singer.....

But lets get serious he isn't dead he works in the chip shop down the road.
