I'm wondering whether it is just me or whether it is the eyes and mind at work here? I struggle to walk down broken escalators but I'm fine going up them. I feel almost dizzy and have to go slowly holding the handrail. Just me? Any more oddities like this?

No, I am the same, I think it's something to do with the steps being uneven as you get on and off plus the height of the steps.

I thought this thread was going to be about your views on Kevin Maher or Freddy Eastwood.

Your escalator thing is rational, particularly if you're trying to walk up the mid-levels escalators on your way back home after a particularly good night out.... Probably less of a problem for you in Clearwater Bay.

It's also easier to walk down a moving escalator than down a stationary one.

I have an issue with heights, the weird thing is when Im in a situation with a sheer drop my biggest worry is my watch will fall off, even if Im not wearing one!

I am really scared of falling into The Thames every night I walk over London Bridge. I don't know what it is but I find it really unnerving which is a issue given I come into London Bridge most days and I work by Bank.

I don't have the same issues funny enough with other London Bridges.

Ha ha first sentence !

Mid levels escalators don't count - they either go up or down depending on time of day. If you don't walk them it takes 20 minutes to get from bottom to top of them. The Bars and restaurants are 5 mins with a slow walk up them.

I once took 30 minutes to cross tower bridge after a heavy drinking session South of the river. A kindly police officer gave me a lift to Fenchurcjh street after spotting me in difficulty.

I have trouble co-ordinating myself going up and down stairs. I have to focus hard and count (to myself) 1-2-3-4 as I climb or descend and can't talk to people otherwise I trip. It's bloody mental and I blame living in a bungalow for the first 21 years of my life!
