Love the long range passing. Knows where the wingers are. Looks a real find.He has the posture of Declan Rice on the pitch - very upright, head always up. Exciting

That could almost describe our departing Fuhrer.Interesting read on him as a person here: https://theathletic.com/1813970/2020/05/17/football-christianity-religion-faith/
Described as “teetotal, doesn’t swear and always tells the truth” and goes into detail on his religious beliefs.
I’m so glad he “insists” or I would have had my doubts!JAMES Morton insists he is "over the moon" to join Southend United.

How on earth did he pick out that pass in the dark?
Probably around that , plus the usual add ons .What do we reckon we have paid for this lad? Under £25k mark?
Dangerous to judge from highlights but it looks like he’ll add something we don’t currently have with that quality on the ball. Some of those passes were superb. We haven’t really had anyone who regularly switches it since Shaun Hobson got homesick. Hobson loved to pick out Bridge but from WSM’s highlights it’s GSM who’s going to be seeing a lot of the ball.
If this works this could unlock another level to this side. The downside will be if we lose too much defensively (I’m guessing someone with that amount of ability isn’t going to be great defensively if he’s in non-league rather than the Championship) and it destroys the balance in midfield. I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes some time to find the right balance. After a spell of enforced continuity we’re going to enter a time of uncertainty.
Last time out of embargo Maher added Kensdale as his first addition. He became integral to the way we developed. Morton is another statement that we’re going to pass our way out of this division. Like our build up play it’s going to require patience but will hopefully be worthwhile.
Why did you have to bring up Goodship? Just when everything is feeling so positive and newWelcome aboard the good ship Shrimper![]()

Maher likely knew of him from his Bristolian connections and so far he's been proven to be a good judge of both a players temperament and ability.Another positive is that being at Bristol City for 10 years early in his career, he won't be phased about coming to a larger ex league club, he'll know what is expected within the set up in general.
