a) Rotherham have had him on the bench

and

b) Rotherham are prepared to loan him to their rivals (albeit with a probable sale at the end of it)

Never mind, their loss    -  hopefully.
I was under the impression he was only sent to the bench when he put a transfer request in.........
Your spot on mate.

Agree with Shrimp on the Wing mention of temper a few times he chased back and looked as if he was going to really have a go back. Bit of a short ars* and wears gold boots though.
Hey I think those gold boots look rather dashing!

They will all have to work even harder for their place. And prove to Tilly that they are better than any of the others. Which is a good thing.

For me Tilly's most obvious management ideal is in competition for places - and it was the rock on which we built promotion last season.

While he's been slow in bringing in new faces this season, clearly it's been for the right reasons; Goater, Eastwood, Gray and Lawson to fight it out for two up front; Gower, Cole, Pettefer and JCR to scrap for the two wing places; Maher, Gutts, Bentley and Smith to battle for the two central positions; etc.. Clearly we still need extra cover in defence but we're getting there.

To answer your question shrimpboy, the player in form will be wearing the shirt, and if the form dips (as Gower's will from time to time), then you know the rest...

Yep, in my eyes, we now have two players to compete for both sides of the pitch, unlike last year where we had to put a left back (or wingback or soemthign) on left wing and a centre midfielder/striker on right.

Very promising and I reckon with Lawson showing his calibre in recent games, we have two players for every position bar left back.

Has Hunt ever covered for left back?

More importantly, if push came to shove and in the absence of a specialist replacement for Che, anyone think he could do a job?

Not sure about that one, he's definately played in the right back slot...

He used to be D/DM RL in Champo if my memory serves me right. Can't say he looks like much of a left back though.

Then again, IMO, his technique is pretty good and he knows the role. Probablt wouldn't be too bad a shout. I guess he was injured when Che was injured at Oxford cos I'm pretty sure Jupp took right back that game.

We defo need cover for left back because Super Che is a right back. Oh deary me!!
