Please say moreHopefully not. Could do without his “diagnosis” and “healing hands”.
Would love to see Clarkson return under our new ownership.
Our official site isn't always the best source for up to date staff. I'm surprised it doesn't still have Dave Smith as manager. He’s still listed here:

Probably earning more at West Ham, than we could afford?.Would love to see Clarkson return under our new ownership.

Agreed, i'm a good friend of his Dad. His a great addition to who employs him, plus IF he ever returned to us, his travelling time would be greatly reduced.Probably.
I’d be filing it under “potentially” rather than writing it off altogether though. He is a Shrimper and RM played a huge reason in why he left, 99% of it, removing RM might open the door. Depends if we want/need him.
I’m not intending to criticise - and although I’m replying to your post @BoyWonder2 this is meant as a general thought for everyone - but I am a little uncomfortable with some of the suggestions being made.To be fair, he came in when no one else would, so we have to be thankful.
However, we can do so much better. Let’s just say, under a different physio, some of our injured players under his guidance, would have returned to the pitch a lot quicker. They certainly would have been treated for the right injury…

There’s some fairly hefty suggestions in this thread about an individual’s performance and competence in their job. He’s not here to defend himself and clearly not many of the rest of us on SZ will have any insight. He may have a very different view on some or all of these inferences.
I’m sure the club know better than anyone what the situation is. Fair enough to say we’re not impressed or we think the medical team could be improved but the more personal stuff probably better left out?
Agreed...is it leave Stan alone and find another target week??I’m not intending to criticise - and although I’m replying to your post @BoyWonder2 this is meant as a general thought for everyone - but I am a little uncomfortable with some of the suggestions being made.

Pull together folks, the NL are doing their best to kill us!
That's not unique to us. Club physios are generally not that great. To be fair, he came in when no one else would, so we have to be thankful.

I've mentioned this before buy my wife (who retired as a physio yesterday after 30 years) has in the past treated international footballers who have come to her on the sly because they weren't impressed with the treatment at their club. If the club found out they would have been in trouble.
Obviously, because of patient confidentiality she doesn't say too much, but one of them had been out for 3 months and wasn't getting any better so he went to her. It took her 5 minutes to work out the injury had been mis-diagnosed. She had him better in 3 weeks.
I looked on his club's forum to find them all berating him for "hiding" behind his injury so he didn't have to play in a team that was underperforming. If only they knew it was the physio that was underperforming.
It's also important to point out that John Gowens isn't a physio and is not allowed to call himself one. He's a sports injury therapist (I think). His degree is not in physiotherapy. However, his qualification should actually make him more suited to the role.
Sound like you've got a lot of experience!Of course not, but I’m just commenting on ours.
I can’t comment on others, other than the physio I’ve used previously with hamstring, knee and back troubles previously.
