Forced to retire due to the knee injury he picked up in his one and only appearance for us and hasn't played since.

Massive shame.

Good luck to him for whatever comes next.

shame for the lad ..... i remember the injury too on his debut, when the opposition striker pushed Bennett into the advertising boards just in front of the North bank . so sad that one moment of petulence has ended a mans career .

and we never even got a free kick for him getting shoved into an advertising board

Massive shame when anyone has to retire due to an injury

Was going to say the same, shocking that an intentional shove, that's ultimately ended a man's career goes unpunished. He was injury prone enough, without the need for that.

Another who was indignant at no "punishment" for that career ending push. All best wishes to him.
