Lee Hughes has been sentenced to 6 years at Her majestys pleasure for causing death by dangerous driving !

I suppose good old British justice means he will be out in 3 !!

He must have been drunk otherwise why run away?

Would his sentence have been different if he had been drink driving as well?

Just heard it on the radio. His career is terminated, but it said nothing about drink driving, just 'death by dangerous driving'

At least it shows it doesn't matter who you are, you can still go to jail.
 
He was AWOL for 36 hours after the accident... drink driving was probably the least of his worries, but as it took that long for the authorities to catch up with him, then a breath test would have been pointless... 6 years for someone's life does sound too low, but if it was JUST dangerous driving he would only have lost his licence and had a fine!
