From that Sky report:

It follows last night's revelation by Sky News that detectives had found DNA evidence that Madeleine's body had been in the boot of the car hire by Mr and Mrs McCann five weeks after their daughter's disappearance.

Her body? So we are dealing with a murder investigation, then - and not a missing person inquiry...

This gets weirder by the day.

Yep SKY news reported that the body fluids could well be from a decomposing body. Also interesting that they have found so much of Madeleine's hair that it could not have been transferred from a blanket or clothes.

Gone very quiet from the McCann family. Sounds almost certain that they will be charged very shortly.

I have kept out of this debate ...But I do find it odd they have fled Portugal to come home now after 4 months stating "We are being set up"

Ahhh... this is obviously Sky's line, in order to generate a few more headlines for themselves. This from guardian.co.uk:

Sky News quoted its own sources as saying that not only were the DNA tests an almost perfect match with Madeleine but they also were extremely unlikely to have been old specimens transferred through contact with luggage, toys, clothing or any other means - a claim disputed by British forensic scientists.

However:

Professor Mark Jobling, from the University of Leicester, said the results did not mean Madeleine's body had necessarily been in the boot. "DNA evidence shows that material from a specific person was or is at a particular place but how it got there is another matter," he said.

Sadly, one has to remain sceptical when it comes to the press...

It could be argued that Maddie has killed Catholicism.

If the McCanns did kill their daughter, then that makes the Pope not infallible, as he had a meeting with them and blessed a picture of her; if he's not infallible, then the entire basis for Catholicism has been destroyed!

This really is getting more and more suspect by the hour . It seems they have upset "someone" who seems determined to place it upon them (allegedly).

I think the whole church issue is because they had dug up the roads surrounding it around the time of her disappearance...
Doesn't explain why they'd then dig her up again and stuff her in a hire car, but hey-ho.

I am going to reserve judgment until there is firm irrefutable evidence that either vindicates them or implicates them..........none of us know all the facts so it is unfair to base an opinion on pure speculation; however is that not what an opinion is?? I guess you can only comment when you no all the facts and then it is still only an informed opinion.

I read last night that Disney have pulled a soon to be released film by Ben Affleck. Apparebntly the story centres around a couple that left their daughter and was abducted. She bore a resemblence to Maddie McCann in the film.
