Mark Gower

Not sure i would EVER say what i am about to, having been a Gower critic for a long long time.....I think the guy deserves a massive "big up" for his performances recently. Damn fine strike for his goal last night, and also caused chaos nearly all night.
His goal celebration was great - pure enthusiasm - and he also ran for the whole 90 minutes, plus added time!!! He would never have been able to do this before so credit to the staff as well for getting him fit.

If he keeps performing i'll keep my gob shut and carry on eating my humble pie!!

Gower has been one of the many reasons why we are where we are. Lets hope his contract renewal is on Ron and Tilly's agenda soon...

Gower certainly deserves a pat on the back for his improved displays. He seems to be almost back to his pre-fitness problem best... and that's good news for the team!

I've always been a Gower fan, and so am delighted that he's producing the goods at the moment. I have come on here in the past bemoaning the fact that some of our "supporters" have been giving him some rather harsh and unfair treatment, so I hope they can all now be as humble and as gracious as shrimptank. Hopefully they can now concede that when he had a period of not playing so well, this was down to injury/lack of fitness and not due to lack of skill.

Well done Mark, I always knew you had it in you!!!

Hey...hang on....there's time yet!

He's not lasted the season yet and only been about the last 3-4 matches where he's done the biz! Hopefully, yes, he will keep it up but until then i reserve my right to keep some pie uneaten!

Fairly recently he wouldnt run past defenders, and his head would drop when he lost the ball.

Last night when he lost the ball he'd track straight back (hacking down a Swindon defender and getting away with it at one point) and was full of surging runs.
