Martin Foyle (who incidentally is a dead ringer for my Grandad

) was delighted with the 3 points on Saturday, according to SunSport he said he "really rates Southend and would have been happy with a point."

Was that he really rated us before they played us and came looking for a point, or after he'd played us, he went away with that view?

Not what he said before the game when he told their local press that we were a very poor side apart from Barrett and Eastwood.

He should be extremely delighted with three points - we made them look very average in the second half.

I was hoping that Foyle would say something like; "Lets face it, Southend aren't going to be there or there abouts come the end of the season."

Interesting that Foyle wanted to have a look at the  video of the match but only the first half was recorded. What happened there?

Looks like next season's DVD will be missing one of our goals of the season already!!!

I suspect the guys who record the game on VHS didn't push record after half-time. Good job our digital HDD recorder is programmed to automatically record all games so we are OK.
