Not sure if this a post worthy of this forum or the Ex Shrimpers but.... currently wacthing the Yorkshire Masters and i was just wondering....

Is there a masters competition for are area? and if so does Southend United have a masters team?

Oh thats a shame.... would of been good if we entered something like this.... maybe have col eww, ipswich, norwich, daggers, gills in it maybe.

Since i have been doing my son james staines memorial football match ive been in contact with people that run the masters to get southend into it,i gave them the idea of having a east anglia event southend,colchester norwich and ipswich,they said its a good idea but to find a venu is hard to get.I will keep trying as i have loads of contacts of the old southend utd profesionals. Would be a great idea, and i for sure would go and watch it. Love watching the masters on sky. Surely theres a venue comewhere withen the east anglia region worthy of hosting an event like this. Do the old pro's get paid for playing in the masters and if so who funds the events and wage ect?
