When I kicked this thread off I did wonder about including a poll (we like polls don't we?) as suggested by Rigsby. At that point an attack of common sense rushed over me in waves and I realised that we have as much chance of agreeing a common player rating system as we have of agreeing (i) whether we should have a club song, or (ii) what that song should be. In fact agreeing ratings would probably be up there with agreeing what our colours for next season should be. I find common sense very helpful when I'm having delusional moments!:dim:

Very true 'RHB'.

A poll works for me and once we agree what the starting point is for an average player performance, we can rate up or down from there.

Simple enough as far as I can see.

Cripes, does it matter? Whatever happens in game (well, I don't recall it) nobody gets a serious 4,3,2 or 1.Somebody will give an extra 0.5 so you may as well rate on a 0 to 5 scale.

It shouldn't matter, mate.

We all give our ratings and opinions and that should be the end of it, IMHO.

Whether people want to give a 4 or a 10, so be it.

Funnily enough, ratings are generally on a 0-5 scale, but they run 4-9 for some reason, in football.

customer service txt

Absolutely not, sounds like an annoying customer services txt you get after a 30 minute phone call.

2-10 with 6 the average should be the scale because 0 or 1 is just being childish.

Agreed.

3-9 (6 mean)
5-9 (7 mean)

Those are your two most likely bets, with a 2 or 4 and a 10 for extremely rare performances.

I couldn't get that link to open 'RHB', but sounds good.
