I will be very disappointed if Bonne starts on Saturday. Hopefully, we have a get out clause in his contract and then he never gets the chance to make the list !
 
It may be quite telling that after the 5 game mark, there's nobody who went on to become a consistent scorer for us over a sustained period (though there are also plenty who got debut goals and didn't do that either).
 
For some reason I remember Billy Paynter being particularly poor, probably because we were in the Championship at the time ,bought him for a decent sum, on a 3 year contract from Hull City, and I expected him to set the Hall alight at the time. . Hull were also in the Championship . Scored one in 11 games, for us and also suffered a hammy and was quickly let go for his inability to get a ball anywhere near the net

But then went and scored for fun at Swindon and Bradford City, 49 goals in just 137 games, which reminds us this is just what happens sometimes as frequently shown on here , some players suddenly click at different clubs
