Echo News Miracle man Kevin Maher provides timely boost for Southend United

<The fans supporting him and his side in such big numbers also deserve to be praised.

However, just imagine what that combination could achieve if the club was built on stable foundations.

And that’s why so much frustration remains.<

Chris Phillips is absolutely right of course.
Indeed,

Great article from chris, avoids the usual platitudes and cliches and is clearly written by a fan like us, wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Its really easy to forget the utter ****e we've been subjected too these last few seasons and get negative when we lose a game or too.

But all most of us wanted when the **** was hitting the fan was a team and manager that tried and cared, and we have that now, and when we are on song we are a very decent team.

Onwards and upwards.
